Reading Assignment:
Chapter 6 of Tippens.
We present a review of the
matieral covered to date by going over the solutions to Homework 3 (1,
2, 3,
4) today. Some of the review
of the mathematics that we have covered so far in the course is performed
by showing some of the images from the `Physics at Work' Video disk. The
areas covered include highlights of scientific notation, unit conversion,
algebra, and trigonometry. We say little more about graphing and vectors,
except as they are presented in Homework 3, since these topics have been
covered vigorously in Lectures 4 - 8.
